Public Consultation 1
We are pleased to announce that the Draft 1.0 of the revised RSPO SCC Standard is ready for the Public Consultation. The Public Consultation 1 starts on 16 March until 14 May 2026 (11:59 pm, UTC+0).
Input and comments from stakeholders are essential to strengthening the RSPO Supply Chain Certification Standard, which describes the requirements related to the control of RSPO certified oil palm products in the supply chain. The public consultation provides an important opportunity for stakeholders to share real-world experiences, highlight implementation challenges, and contribute diverse perspectives while ensuring that the Standard reflects evolving global priorities. Broad participation not only improves the quality of the requirements but also reinforces collective ownership and trust across the supply chain. Participation is therefore critical to building a more transparent, inclusive, and resilient palm oil sector that meets the needs of today while preparing for the challenges of tomorrow.
The revised SCC Standard incorporates the following proposed changes:
- The Standard has been restructured to enhance readability and user experience:
- A new section has been created, grouping business type-specific requirements into 12 categories, including Mills, Refineries and Product Manufacturers.
- Requirements are better aligned with current business practices and operational realities. These include:
- Annexes addressing multisite and group certification
- Business type-specific requirements for Oleochemicals plants and Food Service companies
- Language throughout the standard has been updated to follow consistent drafting and syntax guidelines, improving clarity and precision.
